First let’s start with why you need a blog for your business…

You need a blog to drive traffic to your website, to collect emails and ultimately drive sales for your products and services.

Sometimes it’s hard to come up with great blog ideas or you just may be tired of writing, I get it. I’ve been there when life got too busy to keep up with my blog, but consistency does wonders for your site analytics.

I’ve come up with some blog ideas for you to take the hassle out of putting so much time into planning. These blog ideas, coupled with the right keywords, will help you reach your business audience (target customer).

Blogs with rich content are ones that help your reader. It means your website content is valuable to your target market.

The best way for you to figure out if your blog content is rich is to ask yourself “does this help my reader?” When you’re a helpful entrepreneur, it leads to sales.

So without further aidu, here are my top blog post ideas for your blog.

BLOG POST IDEA #1: THE HOW-TO POST
Teach your reader how to do something that’s related to what you offer. That means if you’re a newborn sleep consultant you wouldn’t want to show them how to teach their baby how to sign. As a newborn sleep consultant you may want to teach them how to swaddle their baby to promote a cozy sleeping environment.

BLOG POST IDEA #2: BEHIND-THE-SCENES
Entrepreneurs always have sketches, notes, and projects in process. You might even have photos of items you’re shipping for your latest launch. Let your reader in on the process visually. Then you can direct them to your product page. winky face*

BLOG POST IDEA #3 YOUR PROCESS
What’s your business process? How’d you come up with it? Go through your entire process and if it’s going to be a long post, break it up into several posts (i.e. a series – which gives them something to come back for).

BLOG POST IDEA #4: YOUR TOP TIPS
You know a lot of stuff about your business, so share your top tips for picking the best location for your business or how to see if a business idea is profitable before spending tons of money. Maybe you’ve got some go-to resources that would be really helpful to them that you haven’t shared before? Share it!

BLOG POST IDEA #5:SHARE YOUR OPINION
By sharing your opinion on something it shows that you’ve got something to say. Maybe you’re like me and you’re over working for someone else reagardless if there’s a current pandemic. Post about how just “having a job” is now the bane of your existence and why. Maybe you should also share what you think is a better alternative, hint…your own business!

BLOG POST IDEA #6: HOW’D YOU GET STARTED?
Write a blog post on how you got started. What led you to this point in your life? What fuels your passion for business?

BLOG POST IDEA #7: ANSWERS TO COMMON QUESTIONS
If you’ve created a FAQ page you can turn each of those questions into a blog post. It allows you to elaborate on your process and services.

BLOG POST IDEA #8: FREE RESOURCE
This will be a list builder, so make it something that’s easy to use and also something that they can get a result from right away. I wouldn’t advise writing a 50 page eBook on how to select the best virtual assistant for your business needs – but maybe something like going over the duties of what a virtual assistant can help you with day-to-day in your business.

BLOG POST IDEA #9: WISH I’D KNOWN POST
This type of post is awesome for sharing a mistake you’ve made and how you addressed it. We never want to share our failures, but none of us walk on water, so be transparent and share a mistake.

BLOG POST IDEA #10: TEACH
Write a post teaching your readers how to do something you do for your business. For instance, write a post about what steps you take to sketch out a new product or book idea. Maybe you even have your own formula you could create a graphic for with Canva. That image would be “pin-worthy” and drive more traffic to your site.

BLOG POST IDEA #11: YOUR FAVES
Make an ultimate list of your favorite business resources.

BLOG POST IDEA #12:APP CRUSH
Do you use a handy app your readers could also use? Write a post about it or a roundup of your top apps. Or you could get even more creative and make an infographic on apps.

BLOG POST IDEA #13: EXTRAS
This doesn’t have to be business specific, but consider a post about what your signature finishing touch is that you add to every project.

BLOG POST IDEA #14: BACK TO THE FUTURE
What were you doing a year ago today? How has your business changed since then?

BLOG POST IDEA #15: LISTS
List your favorite business podcasts, or books, or resources. Then make a pin for it and watch it get shared like crazy.
